Marie Sampson, Ph.D is the Executive Director of Paradise for Living Services, Inc. She has extensive experience as an executive and senior manager in both the public and private sectors. As Executive Director, Dr. Sampson is responsible for general management and program planning, fund development and community relations. Her priorities include educating individuals on financial service issues, advocating for strengthening enforcement and investigation of statutes related to fraud and procedures.

In her role, Dr. Sampson oversees the staff operations and various strategic committees. Dr. Sampson is charged with directing all operational matters and translating board policy decisions into action. Dr. Sampson was named Woman of the year by the NAPW for 2012-2013. Dr. Sampson holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Human Services with a concentration in Health care Administration, an MBA in Healthcare Management, BA Degree in Business Administration, and BS degree in Computer Science. She is also a Certified Medical Billing and Claims Specialist.

Dean Sampson, born in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies was reared by his parents where he began his accounting career by preparing cash reports from his Grandparents Convenience store and transportation business. By the age of 18, he migrated to Brooklyn New York with his parents and four sisters. Dean attended New York City Technical college where he obtained an Associate’s degree with a major in accounting while working full time for Chemical Bank formerly Manufactures Hanover Trust Bank.

At Chemical Bank, Dean was promoted to supervisor in less than two years to oversee the Deposit Concentration Services (DCS) which processed payroll for major companies like ADP, First Data Resources, and Alltel Corporation. One of Chemical Bank’s largest depository accounts was the New York Cash Exchange (NYCE) where we processed over 20 million dollars daily and over half a billion on the weekend thru the New York clearing house (ACH).

In March of 1995 Dean along with his wife Marie moved to Decatur Georgia, where a new chapter in his career began. He worked for two years at SunTrust bank in the accounting department as both accounts payable clerk and check reconciler. He became a member of Amanda Flipper AME church in Decatur where he served on the finance committee with responsibility of preparing quarterly financial reports.

In 1998 he obtained his baccalaureate degree in Accounting from Georgia State University. That same year he was hired to head up the accounting department for Custom Insurance Services Inc., a managing general agency, with five satellite locations in three states with annual premium revenue of over 15 million dollars. The company folded in 2002 due to the declining economy.

In January 2003 after a decade of preparing corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns, the doors for DAS Consultants swung open. Current processing return for over 100 individuals and 25 corporation and partnerships returns. In April 2010 he completed his Masters of Business Administration, (MBA) from the University of Phoenix. Currently working as a Director for Paradise for Living Services, Inc.
